9th jan 2010: Arsenal - Everton

ARSENAL

Arsenal are top of the current form table
The last match against Aston Villa captain Cesc Fabregas came off the bench to inspire the Gunners to a 3-0 win over Aston Villa which hauls them back into the Barclays Premier League title race.
The Spaniard, who had been out with a hamstring problem, netted a superb free-kick on 65 minutes and then scored a fine breakaway goal before being substituted as a precaution.

Wenger: the team has shown mental strength. This team is talented, is hungry, has a great spirit and for me they deserve to be successful.

Team news:
Arsenal will again be without captain Cesc Fabregas (hamstring) for Saturday night's match against Everton, but he should be fit for the visit to Bolton Wanderers on 17th January.
Denilson has recovered from a back problem and is expected to stand in for Alex Song, who is at the African Nations Cup with Cameroon, but Jack Wilshere (hamstring) is not fit.
Andrey Arshavin (foot) is also available after missing the FA Cup win at West Ham United, as is Tomas Rosicky (groin), but striker Nicklas Bendtner (groin), Theo Walcott (side strain), Gael Clichy (back), Kieran Gibbs (foot), Robin van Persie (ankle) and Johan Djourou (knee) remain out, while the Ivory Coast's Emmanuel Eboue is also away on international duty.

EVERTON
“from the start we just about completely dominated the game. They scored a very good goal and put us back. If we hadn't got anything out of the game it would have been a travesty. “ Moyes said after the 1-1 draw against Sunderland.

Team News:
Everton's new loan signing Landon Donovan could be given his debut.
The United States forward, who has joined the club for a 10-week period, only began training with the club at the start of this week.
Although manager David Moyes is reluctant to pitch him in to a tough test at the Emirates Stadium, the options he has open to him may mean the Los Angeles Galaxy star gets a place on the bench.
Striker Louis Saha has not played since Boxing Day because of a hamstring problem and is not expected to feature.

HEAD TO HEAD

18/10/2008 Arsenal 3-1 Everton

VERDICT
Arsene Wenger is asking a victory here but it won't be easy agaisnt an Everton unbeaten in the last 5 games.
But Arsenal at home was capable to score 28 goal and conceed only 7, while Everton has trouble keeping the clean sheets.
I can see Arsenal to win here.
