28th february 2010: Liverpool - Blackburn

LIVERPOOL

A nice draw in Man city last game, Benitez commented: "It was a difficult game. We didn't have clear chances, they didn't have clear chances, but we had more possession and but for the pass in the final third it could have been different. I felt today both teams were defending well and were well organised."

Glen Johnson is close to full fitness after a knee problem, but he is not in contention yet. Midfielder Maxi Rodriguez returns to the squad having been ineligible for the trip to Romania. Defender Martin Skrtel has been ruled out after breaking a metatarsal in his right foot in Thursday night's Europa League.

Blackburn is travelling to the Anfield road with great confidence after a good record of wins. Allardyce commented a great 3-0 victory over Bolton last game:

"It's our biggest win of the season. We're making everyone sit up and think what a game they're going to get here - and they certainly are."

Blackburn are without captain Ryan Nelsen for Sunday's Barclays Premier League trip to Liverpool.

VERDICT

Liverpool have won their last five matches at Anfield while Blackburn Rovers have gone seven without a victory on the road.

Blackburn will play with great morale after recent home wins but I don't think it will be enough to beat Liverpool and Torres at Anfield. Take a chance on Liverpool with Asian Handicap
