14th april 2012: Sunderland - Wolves

SUNDERLAND
Sunderland hold a safe position and there are no pressure for a good performance, the best they can do is to close the season with a great 7th place just 5 points far today.
The team playing at home managed to stop Tottenham, win against Liverpool, QPR and Norwich. The only defeat in the last 5 games is against Arsenal.

Team news: Bendtner will be available for the match together with Bardsley and Cattermole, while O'Shean and Brown will miss the game.

Overall form: LWDDL
Home form: WLWWD

WOLVES
Seven consecutive defeats leave few hopes for the Wolves to remain in Premier League.
The new manager Connor is still without wins and it seem that the team will play just for the pride.

Team news: Bassong will miss the game while Fletcher is in doubt.

Overall form: LLLLL
Away form: WDLLL

VERDICT
The favourite team is Sunderland, playing at home and with a reason to play well: the 7th spot is still possible.
I don't know if Wolves will suddenly play a good match against Sunderland: they didn't show much reaction on the past games so I would bet on Sunderland to win.

24 march 2012: Chelsea - Tottenham

CHELSEA
The new manager di Matteo seems to bring new motivation to the player. Also against Manchester City the team shown a different approach, even if the result is not a victory.
Chelsea at home have an excellent record, the best performance remain the one of Champions League against Napoli.

Team news: Drogba, Essien, Sturridge and Terry will return available for the match, while Ivanovic is not sure.

Overall form: LWLWL

TOTTENHAM
After a peak of good performances, showing the best football of the league and reach the top positions, the team is falling with a series of losses and bad perfomances.
Away from home they have not won any of the last 5 games, with 3 losses and 2 draws.

Team news: 2 of the key player may miss the game: Adebayor and Lennon.

VERDICT
A good home record, the new manager with good results and the poor performances of Tottenham don't let any other choice rather than a home win

25th february 2012: Newcastle - Wolves

NEWCASTLE
Quite shocking defeat against Tottenham (5-0) but Tottenham is playing the best football these days and there's no much to complain. This is another game, at home, against an affordable opponent.
Newcastle home record very is good: the team lost oly 2 times, keeping 3 times the sheets clean on the last 5 games.

Team news: Key player Best will miss the game. R. Taylor, Cisse and Ba may return available.

Home form: DLWWW
Overall form: WLWWL

WOLVERHAMPTON
The bad defeat (1-5) in front of home fans costs the change of management: the new manager will be Terry Connor and will be in charge for the trip to Newcastle.
A necessary change as the team can still fight to remain in Premier league. The away record on the last 5 games see Wolves manage to draw 3 times (Arsenal, Tottenham, Bolton) and win 1 time (QPR). That's not bad, they just miss something to transform the draw on a victory... maybe the new manager will inspire them.

Team news: Frimpong, Bassong, Kightly will miss the game. The former captain Henry will be back after suspension.

Away form: LDDDW
Overall form: DLLWL

HEAD TO HEAD
Newcastle never lost: 2 wins and 3 draws.

VERDICT
Newcastle side is really hard to beat as the defence is rock solid, but Wolves managed to stop top teams like Tottenham and Arsenal few weeks ago, plus there will be a new energy from the change in management.
Wolves will try to close all the spaces and Newcastle will have problems to score.
I would go for a under 2.5 goals. If you feel brave you may go for Newcastle to win with an handicap of +0.5
